EQUITY IN USD 231
In the Winter of 2024, the Gardner Edgerton School District created an Equity position statement for the district. Members of the Educational Services Advisory Committee worked collaboratively to develop a draft statement that was then presented to the Board of Education. This work was done to build a common language and understanding of equity in our district.
Equity Position Statement (February 2024)
In USD 231, equity signifies our steadfast belief in providing every student with opportunities to access quality education, resources, and support, regardless of background or circumstances. In our commitment to every student, we recognize the ongoing need to provide rich and meaningful opportunities while acknowledging that some may need additional support or intervention.
